1. InKONBINI (Released April 30)

InKONBINI is giving me so much nostalgia right now. my first job was working in retail, and when i worked at Ulta, my absolute favorite part was coming in really early in the mornings to stock and organize all the makeup…just to have everything perfectly arranged before the first customer walked in. there has always been something so soothing about that, and this game just captures that feeling entirely for me.

you're helping run your auntie's little convenience store in Japan…meeting customers, building sweet little relationships with them along the way. and if Japan has ever been on your bucket list…because it is absolutely on mine…this gives you a little taste of that world right now.

the culture around convenience stores is so fascinating, and i've always been genuinely curious about it. it is my dream to visit one day and actually live that experience firsthand.

the slow gentleness of InKONBINI makes it perfect for those very long days when you need something soothing and enjoyable. it doesn't ask anything from you except to show up, take care of things, and enjoy the quiet.

2. Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth (Released April 27)

some of you teddies might remember this one from my 2026 wishlist video…Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth has been on my radar for a while, and now it's finally here.

you play as Moomintroll, who wakes up way too early from hibernation and finds himself completely alone for the very first time. and from that moment on, this game becomes a beautiful story you won't want to put down. because it's not about grinding or collecting. it's about learning how to be brave…in the softest, most gentle way.

i love stories like this. stories that feel small but carry so much depth…where the warmth comes from kindness and connection rather than from completing a task list. if you've been looking for a cozy game that will genuinely fill your heart, this is the one.

3. Wax Heads (Released May 5)

okay, this one is my personal favorite on this list. Wax Heads is a cozy-punk narrative sim set in a struggling record store…and the moment i saw the trailer, i was completely obsessed.

you're recommending music to quirky customers, getting to know the bands, following all the drama…and i just love that this exists. because cozy doesn't have to mean farming and building and questing. sometimes cozy is a dimly lit record store with incredible music playing and people who genuinely care about each other.

this one is really personal for me…because Andrew is a musician. he used to play in a pop punk band and a metal band, and every other weekend i was at those shows watching him perform. so a game built around music, community, and vinyl culture? i am so freaking in love with it.

and if you've ever seen Empire Records…that movie from the mid-90s…then this will all feel so familiar. the friendship, the drama, all of it in one game.

4. Outbound (Released May 14)

what if your cozy life wasn't tied to one place? what if you could pack it all into a camper van and build your own little oasis on the go?

that's exactly what Outbound is all about. you set up wherever you land…grow crops, source energy from the sun, and build a whole second floor right on top of your van. it becomes this entire sustainable little world that travels with you. i love this so much for my fellow introverts…because this is not your traditional farming sim.

there's no farm handed down to you, no community obligations, no getting married. it's just you, your little dog companion, and the open road…living at your own pace, with nothing but open skies ahead.

if that sounds like a dream to you, you're going to fall completely in love with this game.

5. Cozy Caravan (Released January 15)

imagine wandering through the most charming little towns…trading your handmade crafts with the locals…with nowhere to be and nothing to rush back to.

Cozy Caravan came out in early January, and i cannot believe this one flew under the radar. it is genuinely one of the most adorable worlds i've seen in a game. every town has its own personality, its own little charm…and as you travel through them crafting, trading, and exploring, it has this special whimsical feeling that is so hard to put into words.

it just makes you feel serene and peaceful. i am so tempted to buy this game and go on a mini adventure in this absolutely adorable little world.

speaking of games that flew under the radar — i did a whole video on fun Switch games everyone forgot about that are absolutely worth revisiting.

6. Moonlight Peaks (Coming July 7…Add to Your Wishlist!)

what happens when you combine vampires with a traditional farming sim? you get Moonlight Peaks…and the cozy gaming community is already calling it the "Vampire Stardew." i personally prefer to call it Cute Goth. and i am so excited.

it has all the farming elements you love, but underneath it all is a story with real heart. you're settling into your family's abandoned homestead, building your life in this spooky little world…on a mission to prove that even for the undead, a life of compassion is possible.

it looks so bubbly and different from anything else out right now…and my personal favorite detail? you have to be back in your coffin before the sun comes up.

Moonlight Peaks releases July 7th, so add it to your wishlist, mark your calendars, and be ready. it is going to be the highlight of the summer.

7. Collector's Cove (Released March 12, 2026)

we've been to Japan, traveled by caravan, lived off-grid in a van…and for our last stop, we're taking to the sea.

Collector's Cove puts your entire world on a boat. your garden, your crops, your cozy little home…all of it traveling with you to different corners of the world.

i love this concept so much, because we're always so anchored to the land in these games. but in this one, you set sail. you fish, you farm, you decorate your space…and you do all of it while exploring somewhere completely new.

and you even have this adorable companion that reminded me so much of Lapras…and it's just so sweet. it's cozy. it's adventurous. i cannot wait to experience this one for myself.

Bonus Picks: For Those Who Stuck Around 🎁

Hidden Around The World (Released April 6, 2026)

Hidden Around The World is exactly what the name promises. a cozy hidden object adventure where you travel to iconic cities like Tokyo, Paris, and London…discovering little treasures tucked inside gorgeous hand-drawn scenes. it's relaxing, charming, and perfect for when you just want to slow down and explore.

Everafter Falls (Released June 2024)

Everafter Falls has been around since 2024, but it deserves so much more love than it gets. it looks like your classic cozy farming sim on the surface…cute animal neighbors, crops to tend, a sweet little town. but underneath all of that warmth…there's a dark secret waiting. you wake up with no memory of this place…and slowly start to wonder if everything around you is even real.

Final Thoughts

every single one of these games plays on the original Switch. and that matters to me, because i am not ready to let go of mine. i'm not ready to make that transition to the Switch 2 just yet…there is still so much life left in this little console.

don't let anyone rush you into thinking you need an upgrade to play something incredible…because as you can see, you absolutely don't. there are so many amazing cozy games for the original Switch still coming your way. and i genuinely hope at least one of these makes its way onto your next-to-play list.
