I Spent $645 At Downtown Disney…Was It Worth It?
Updated: Jun 4
Two weeks ago, I went to Downtown Disney for the very first time, and honestly, it was incredible!
My husband is genuinely the sweetest person...he planned a whole birthday trip to Anaheim as a complete surprise, and it was so fun, so adventurous, and so perfect. It was the best birthday trip, and now I'm officially addicted and want to go back all the time!
I also walked out with a $645 downtown disney haul.
Was every single penny worth it? Here's everything I bought, and my honest take on all of it.

The Full Downtown Disney Haul
Six stops. Six items. One very happy birthday girl!
Here's everything I picked up across the D-Lander Shop, World of Disney store, Disney Home store, LEGO Store, and a soccer store I had absolutely no idea was even there.
Stoney Clover x Disney Parks Varsity Jacket — $200
I want you to know that I walked into the D-Lander Shop fully intending to just browse. And then I saw this jacket.
The Stoney Clover x Disney Parks varsity jacket is this beautiful pastel jacket that I fell in love with immediately.
Yes, I know. Right off the bat, I splurged...and I have zero regrets about it.
The quality is absolutely impeccable. On the chest, there's an embroidered Disney Parks | Stoney Clover Lane logo and a chenille "D" letter that's so incredibly soft to the touch. The front has these super cute Mickey Mouse snap buttons, and on the right sleeve, three chenille Mickey Mouse icons outlined in gold.
On the left sleeve, there's an embroidered crest that reads "The Happiest Place on Heart" with tiny fireworks and a Mickey detail, and on the back, a beautifully embroidered Disneyland logo.
The outside is wool, and the inside is lined with quilted satin. When you put it on, you can feel the weight of it...but not in a heavy or uncomfortable way. More like being wrapped in a blanket. It's cozy, it's stylish, and the level of craftsmanship makes it feel genuinely luxurious in a way that's hard to describe until you hold it.
Was it worth it? Yes. Absolutely. Do you need it? No, of course not.
But if you're looking for a timeless, investment piece that you'll keep forever and reach for every single time the weather gets cooler...this jacket is it.
After taxes: $215.49
Mrs. Potts Teapot & Chip Mug — $52.98
The next stop was the World of Disney store, and the moment I spotted the Mrs. Potts teapot and Chip mug from Beauty and the Beast, I grabbed them both without thinking twice.

What actually surprised me was the price.
I fully expected Mrs. Potts to be around $50 on her own...but when I flipped her over and saw $27.99, I was genuinely shocked. The mug was $24.99, so both together came out to just under $53 before tax, which honestly felt like a steal for how beautiful they are.
They're both made of stoneware, which is a dense, durable type of pottery that's strong and much less likely to chip (no pun intended!). One thing worth noting is that the label says they're not suitable for microwave or dishwasher use, so just keep that in mind if you plan on using them.
But the details on these two are everything. Chip even has his little chip on the rim, and the way his base is tilted makes him look completely alive. That's the magic of Disney craftsmanship...the personality, the attention to detail, the way they make inanimate things feel like actual characters.
I do want to be honest! It's not actually functional. I found that out when I tried to use it to pour water, and realized Mrs. Potts' spout is not real, but if you use it as a decorative piece, it will brighten up any kitchen or living room!
Was it worth it? Yes and yes. My husband ended up buying them as a birthday gift, but I'm still counting them in the total because I had every single intention of throwing my own money at the register and taking these cuties home with me.
After taxes: $57.09
Mickey Mouse Sherpa Beanie — $29.99
Now for the star of the show.
If you've been anywhere near Disney social media lately, you've probably already seen this Mickey Mouse Sherpa Beanie floating around.
People were literally clawing to get their hands on this in store. Apparently, it was going viral on TikTok. The crew members at World of Disney were actively restocking them while people were pulling them off the shelves. I was genuinely lucky to grab one before they were gone again!
It's made of sherpa fabric, so it's incredibly soft and fluffy, and it has an adjustable strap in the back that lets you change the fit depending on your head size. I have a very small head and most beanies make it look even smaller...but this one fit perfectly, and it's so comfortable to wear.
On the bottom of the band, there's a patch that reads "Disneyland. Where dreams come true," and in the corner, there's the Sleeping Beauty castle.
It also comes in black, but I went with the white and I'm so glad I did.
Was it worth it? Totally. Under $30, incredibly cozy, and honestly one of the best Disney gifts you could get for anyone right now. If you can get your hands on one, do it.
After taxes: $32.31
Sugarplum Fairy Tale Ornaments — Chip & Beast — $54.98
Ok, I'm getting into the Christmas spirit a little early...because when I walked into the Disney Home store and saw these Sugarplum Fairy Tale ornaments, there was no version of reality where I was leaving without them.
Beast is reimagined as a nutcracker dressed in beautiful pastel colors with gold accents throughout. His limbs dangle from little gold-tone hooks, so they have this free-flowing movement that makes him feel alive and full of personality.
The textures, the detail on his outfit, the way it all comes together...I fell in love with him the second I spotted him on the shelf.
And right next to him was Chip, reimagined as a creamy dessert with pink and gold pearl toppings and a decorative saucer base. He looks absolutely delicious and completely adorable at the same time, which is very on-brand for Chip.
He's made of ceramic, so he has a satisfying weight to him, and all the tiny swirls and textures make him look so adorable.
I just could not leave them behind. They're both so thoughtfully made, and they're going straight onto my Christmas tree the moment the season starts.
Was it worth it? Yes. I genuinely love them!
After taxes: $59.24
LEGO Super Mario Kart Sets — $114.98
Every time I walk into a LEGO Store, I get completely overwhelmed by how many sets there are and I immediately go into decision paralysis mode. But this visit was different...I walked in with a mission, and the mission was the Super Mario Kart collection.
I picked up the Donkey Kong & DK Jumbo set for $34.99 before tax, and my husband gifted me the Baby Peach & Grand Prix set for $79.99 before tax, which came out to $123.89 for both after taxes.
The Donkey Kong set has 387 pieces and comes with a buildable Donkey Kong figure and a DK Jumbo car that can actually launch shells at targets, which is so incredibly fun.
You can also pair it with the interactive Mario, Luigi, or Princess Peach figures (sold separately) to unlock sounds and visual effects, and it transforms the whole thing into a really unique, interactive experience.
The Baby Peach & Grand Prix set is the bigger build at 823 pieces, and it comes with four buildable figures: Baby Peach, Toad, Lakitu, and Lemmy.
You get to build Baby Peach's kart, Lemmy's landship, and Toad's standard bike, plus traffic cones, shells, and race track pieces that make it feel like you're creating your own little Mario Kart world from scratch.
I already own three other sets in this collection, and building these was will be as exciting as the very first time.
Was it worth it? LEGO sets are always worth it. Always.
After taxes: $123.89 for both
Pelé Brazil 2025 Jersey — $145
This one was a complete surprise...and honestly, it might be my favorite thing I bought that entire day.

I had no idea there was even a soccer store at Downtown Disney. The moment I walked in and spotted this Pelé Brazil 2025 jersey on the rack, I knew I couldn't walk out without it.
It was the last one in my size, which honestly felt like absolute fate, because I had been searching for this jersey online for over a year with no luck.
I've been watching fútbol since I was very young, and Brazil has always been my favorite national team.
Growing up, I fell in love watching Ronaldinho and Kaká play, and even though Pelé was before my time, there is genuinely no debate about his legacy.
He is the greatest of all time, and this jersey means so much more to me than just clothing. It's nostalgia, it's passion, and I cannot wait to wear it during the next World Cup.
Was it worth it? Absolutely, without a single doubt.
After taxes: $156.24
Final Thoughts
$645 at Downtown Disney...and honestly, I would do it all over again without hesitating. Every single item had meaning behind it. Every one of them either sparked joy, connected to a memory, or became something I know I'll use and treasure for years to come.
That said, you do not have to spend anywhere close to that to have an amazing time at Downtown Disney. If I could only recommend one thing from this entire haul, it would be the Mickey Mouse Sherpa Beanie — it's under $30, incredibly cozy, adjustable, and wearable literally anywhere.
Perfect for the colder months, and it makes the most thoughtful gift for any Disney lover in your life.
